Training on «Assessemnt of Introduction of WWER Technology into Particular Energy System Using the INPRO Methodology» for Indonesian specialists (http://rosatomtech.com/?p=156, http://rosatomtech.com/?p=148) from organizations within the jurisdiction of National Nuclear Energy Agency (BATAN) organized by ROSATOM-CICE&T completed on 12 December 2014.
This course was designed on request of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation to support implementation of NESA (Nuclear Energy System Assessment) based on the INPRO Methodology. NESA allows to select a technology that meets requirements for sustainable energy development of a particular country; therefore it allows to make a decision on the start of the national nuclear programme. The IAEA expert A. Korinny, responsible for the NESA programme, participated in this event.
The Republic of Indonesia implements NESA since 2012, and currently is interested in the WWER Technology. This course was developed by the experts from Fuel Company of Rosatom «TVEL» and fuel reprocessing plant. The course presents the advantages of Russian fuel cycle technologies. A group of experts is headed by Mr. Taswanda Taryo (Deputy Chairman of Nuclear Energy Technology, National Nuclear Energy Agency of the Republic of Indonesia).
