The Memorandum of Understanding Signed between Rosatom CICE&T and TÜV SÜD (Germany)

28-30 October 2013 the delegation from Rosatom – CICE&T visited TÜV SÜD in Munich (Germany) to discuss the issues of cooperation. TÜV – from German – Technische Überwachungs-Verein  means  «Technical supervision Union». It represents a network of independent TÜV organizations among which TÜV SÜD shows the highest indicators – an annual revenue  of 1.8 Bln Euro. TÜV SÜD incorporates 18 800 persons, from them 10 200 are in Germany and 8 600 – in affiliated structures abroad. TÜV SÜD has more than 50 years of experience in nuclear power basically serving for regulation authorities of Germany for realisation of supervision and inspections, licensing and product conformity assessment.

In addition, TÜV SÜD works abroad by request of the operating organisations, governmental  authorities, public and private institutions. Among the basic areas for cooperation between Rosatom – CICE&T and TÜV SÜD there have been fixed personnel certification in provision of personnel preparation to a safe NPP operation in embarking states and procurement certification for new NPPs. By results of negotiations the organizations have signed the Memorandum of understanding in frameworks of which since 2014 a number of trainings on specified areas will be organized.
