In the framework of personnel training for the national nuclear infrastructure of Belarus, ROSATOM-CICE&T organized a training workshop from 11 to 22 August 2014. This workshop was generally focused on the training of faculty staff of the “Belarusian National Technical University” (BNTU) and “International Sakharov Environmental University” (ISEU). During this visit experts from BNTU and ISEU had a two-week training on “Safety assessment of nuclear power plants based on PSAR(Preliminary Safety Assessment Report) .”
PSAR is submitted to the regulatory body in a set of documents justifying the application for a license to construct and commission a nuclear power plant. The final report on safety analysis of nuclear power plant delivers as a part of the application for a license to operate the NPP.
The procedure and rules for initial evaluation of nuclear power plant safety based on PSAR, the requirements of Russian and international legislation in the field of documents preparation for licensing for nuclear objects in the bodies of state supervision were considered during the training workshop.
The course was performed in two weeks: the first one is theoretical in ROSATOM-CICE&T; second one is practical with using a full-scale simulator in the Training Centre of Kalinin NPP.
